Sheena Diolle

Sheena Diolle is a UK self-taught photographer with Mauritian heritage; who currently lives in Spain. Growing up, she was heavily influenced by her late father, who had a passion for photography and music. Sheena has always been particularly drawn to the works of street photographers, hip hop and rock and roll photographers such as Estevan Oriol and Vivian Maier , finding their work raw and authentic. She has a rich cultural background and a deep interest in her own identity. As the daughter of immigrant parents, she was exposed to two strong cultures growing up and this gave her a completely different view of the world. This translates into his passion for portrait photography as well as street photography.

His work nods to his influences while remaining authentic and true to his own style. Sheena prefers to stay away from the norm, and what is already embraced by society and has carved her own path in photography, capturing diversity and beauty in unsuspecting places and faces. When she travels, Sheena prefers to capture the everyday life of the people of the country she is in and likes to make the viewer feel part of her journey.
