Sailing between Barcelona and the south of France, Raphaël is a French artist, comic book artist and painter , who explores both line and colour. He defines himself as a drawing madman and finds in the cosmopolitan and always throbbing Barcelona a formidable playing field.

Obsessed with the study of the face, he juxtaposes and mixes thousands of faces in his notebooks and notebooks, also mixing techniques and origins: imaginary features, variations, experiments, drawings made from memory, faces captured live, at a pedestrian crossing or crossing the road. street, actors, grimaces, anatomies... These anarchic studies end up organizing themselves, and forming spontaneous compositions, which do not stop evolving over the weeks, as he returns and returns to the old drawings, adding layers, tearing or retouching custom...

So there is no other way to stop the process than to decide to take them out of the notebook at once and get rid of them! Stacking free faces and drawings is also a way to unleash the less freely made comic strips and feed inspiration. Raphaël's first album will be published at the beginning of 2024 in France by the Glénat publishing house , with a script by Eacersall and Boulart , authors awarded at the Angoulême 2020 international comic book festival.
