Collection: Barcelona Ilustrada

"In March 2020, after being locked up at home for several days, combining my usual work with the classes that I sporadically teach in a business management master's degree, I bought a pencil and started drawing" adds Alberto . Those were his moments of daily disconnection and that's where his first creations began. He shared the designs with his friends and encouraged by the good reception, he continued to unleash his creativity.

In July 2022, a day like so many others that he spent with his Vespa on Aragón street, he stopped to observe in detail the sign that crowns the building of Plaza Letamendi nº1-2, the former headquarters of an insurance company, and nothing When he got home, he picked up his iPad and drew it. That was the first design in a series of illustrations of the city, combining the Barcelona of yesterday with the Barcelona of today. Legendary establishments that have now disappeared such as the Vinçon store, the Pokin's hamburger bar or the old Apolo Theater cannot be missing from the designs. Each design belongs to a limited series of 50 units and is signed and numbered by the author .

"Illustrated Barcelona is the Barcelona of my imagination, of my memory, of my childhood and of my daily life. The Barcelona in which I grew up, the Barcelona in which I live and in which wonderful things happen every day", says Alberto .
