Sheena Diolle es una fotógrafa autodidacta del Reino Unido con herencia de Mauricio; que actualmente vive en España.

Al crecer, fue fuertemente influenciada por su difunto padre, que tenía una pasión por la fotografía y la música. Sheena siempre se ha sentido particularmente atraída por los trabajos de fotógrafos callejeros, fotógrafos de hip hop y rock and roll como Estevan Oriol y Vivian Maier, encontrando su trabajo crudo y auténtico.

Ella tiene un rico trasfondo cultural y un profundo interés en la identidad propia. Como hija de padres inmigrantes, estuvo expuesta a dos culturas fuertes mientras crecía y esto le dio una visión completamente diferente del mundo. Esto se traduce en su pasión por la fotografía de retrato, así como la fotografía callejera. Su trabajo hace un guiño a sus influencias sin dejar de ser auténtico y fiel a su propio estilo.

Sheena prefiere mantenerse alejada de las normas, y de lo que ya está abrazado por la sociedad y ha labrado su propio camino en la fotografía, capturando la diversidad y la belleza en lugares y rostros inesperados.

Cuando viaja, Sheena prefiere capturar la vida cotidiana de la gente del país en el que se encuentra y le gusta hacer que el espectador se sienta parte de su viaje.

Sheena Diolle is a self-taught photographer from the UK with heritage from Mauritius; who is currently living in Spain.

Growing up she was heavily influenced by her late father, who had a passion for photography as well as music. Sheena has always been particularly drawn to the works of street photographers, hip hop and rock and roll photographers such as Estevan Oriol and Vivian Maier - finding their work raw and authentic.

She has a rich cultural background and a deep interest in self-identity. As a child of immigrant parents, she was exposed to two strong cultures growing up and this gave her a completely different view of the world. This translates into her passion for portrait photography as well as street photography. Her work gives a nod to her influences whilst still remaining authentic and true to her own style.

Sheena prefers to stay away from the norms, and what is already embraced by society and has carved her own path into photography, capturing diversity and beauty in unsuspecting places and faces.

When travelling, Sheena prefers to capture the day-to-day life of the people of the country she is in and likes to make the viewer feel part of her journey.
